Operation Project HOPE is led by a small group of dedicated leaders, committed to empowering children with clean and safe schools. We believe in "World Peace, One Child at a Time."
From different walks of life and career paths, these leaders bring their unique talent and skills to achieving their shared vision. In addition to supporting the youth of Los Angeles by beautifying schools, the team at OPH is expanding their impact by training new leaders through the OPH Leadership Academy
Operation Project HOPE is all about transforming schools—and the hearts inside them—with joy, peace, and possibility. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to create safe, supportive learning spaces for every child, no matter their background, ability, or circumstance.
In just one unforgettable day, hundreds of volunteers—over 500 strong—come together in the Southern California sunshine to bring a school to life. We paint walls with bold murals and uplifting affirmations. We refresh the landscaping so the outside feels as welcoming as the inside. We transform teacher lounges into cozy, inspiring retreats. We brighten auditoriums, spread cheer in the front office, and sprinkle hope into every corner we touch.
It’s more than a makeover—it’s a movement. Each brush stroke, planted flower, and shared smile is part of our commitment to “World Peace ONE Child at a Time.” By the day’s end, the school is bursting with color, love, and possibility—and so are the hearts of everyone who took part.
Every Year, Operation Project HOPE launches its Leadership Academy—a transformative journey designed to unlock potential, strengthen purpose, and prepare leaders to make a lasting impact. The Academy empowers participants to step confidently into leadership roles, ensuring the longevity of our mission through strong succession planning and inspired vision.
By developing more leaders, we multiply our ability to bring hope, resilience, and possibility to schools throughout Southern California and across the globe. Each graduate becomes a torchbearer of change, carrying forward a message that transforms communities and inspires the next generation.
